In the past I've seen quite a few questions on this forum regarding what exams are obligatory for FSA approval and where the books can be purchased. I've just completed the exams myself and gained FSA approval so I have no need for the material any more and am looking to sell it on. The three exams are:
1. Regulations
2. Securities
3. Derivatives
I can offer the BPP study text, question bank, course slides, review exercises and class room handout for all three of these exams. All the material is for the latest exam syllabuses since I passed the exams only last month. The condition of the materials is as good as anyone really needs to learn the stuff. I've underlined quite a bit but apart from that its all in good condition, no tears or unreadable bits. My firm paid £100 for the Regulations material (not including course slides and class room handouts) and £195 each for the Securities and Derivatives material (not including course slides and class room handouts). I will sell the whole lot for a lot £200. I will also chuck in CISI's official learning and reference manual and Q&A booklets for Securities (which I stupidly bought for more than £100 before my firm got me all the BPP material). I don't think you'll find all this material for anywhere near this amount anywhere on the net. I nearly didn't land my job because my firm (a BB) wanted someone who was already FSA qualified (even though I'm a grad I'm not on a grad scheme so they could have got someone with experience- they didn't want to risk hiring me then having problems with me failing exams). The point being- its not a bad idea to do these exams in advance. It also saves a lot of stress- I found these exams much more stressful than my BSc and MSc exams because my job was on the line and I had less than a week to prepare each exam. So its good to get them out of the way in advance. Anyway, enough rambling, if anyones interested then let me know..
